Hydrocephalus

First time I saw her I feel so pity.This 7 years old patient has Hydrocephalus since she was born. Abnormal circulation on her brain made accumulation of meninges fluid and result in hydrocephalus.
Clinic staff is making wheelchair for her, while me, as a Prosthetist Orthotist will make brace to prevent her contracture's progression.It is a challenging case because her deformity is nearly fixed. I do really want to make her happy, standing and walking. But her condition prohibit my expectation.It is stated that her muscle strength is in grade 2 only.She also has lack control over her head and trunk.Independent standing is impossible.

What I'm doing is, I'm trying to make brace, AFOs overlap with KOs to prevent her deformities. The plan is to increase her Joint's Range of Motion, prevent contracture, and re-align her lower extremity.

I can not explain one by one the rehabilitation stage, but I just want you.._YOU_.wHerever You aRe, WhoEver you are, if you have perfect condition of your body, you should be thanked God for it.

There are a lot of people out there, which are not as lucky as you.
